Creative gifts flourish in the right atmosphere. To provide encouragement and to give greater exposure to both established and emerging designers, the Hong Kong Optical Manufacturers Association and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council have once again jointly organised the competition, with the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education as sponsors.

This year's theme is 'Vision Unlimited'.

All entries were judged for production feasibility and finalists in three categories selected. The judging criteria were Originality & Creativity, Aesthetics, Practicability and Functionality. All entries were eligible for The Greatest Creativity Award.
